Day 15

Took this photo while changing the bedding in the whelping box. Alma and Dre are so proud!

Update: They puppies opened their eyes! They started at different times but now all of them are open!

Day 9

So adorable! They are coming along great! As i write this, Alma is in her whelping box feeding them all, helping them grow up!

She isn't camera shy!

The puppy above has a beautiful pattern on his chest! See how the bottom of it looks like a C.

Puppy above^ Also has a beautiful pattern on his chest. white comes over his shoulders, down his chest and flares under his arms a bit.

^ The only girl^

It has been a week since the puppies were born and the only girl is showing some color within her black coat. She has the golden red hues of her parents! Appearing on her cheeks arms and legs now, we will watch closely to see if more color develops!

All of the puppies are doing wonderfully, weighing twice as much as the day they were born. They are strong puppies indeed! Alma enjoys being a mom and gives them all the attention the need. Look how proud she is!

Day 4

Alma was back to her active self the day after the pups were born. With 2 months of energy built up we took her and Dre to a field by our house to play frisbee. She is just as fast and agile as before her pregnancy and glad to expend her extra energy.

The puppies are becoming more active, squirming around the welping box and wagging their tails. Alma diligently feeds and cleans up after her young and spends all her time in the whelping area. Their eyes wont open for at least another week as they are still developing!
